Brasscraft Manufacturing Company’s Thomasville Plant Investing in the Future Workforce
Thursday, March 5, 2020
The desire to promote the skilled trades and cultivate the
next generation entering the workforce has long been a focus for Brasscraft
Manufacturing Company. Since 2014, we’ve awarded over a half million dollars in
scholarship funds to plumbing apprentices. And thanks to our team at our
Thomasville, NC manufacturing facility, we’ve furthered that commitment through
the launch of a new internship program.
The program, which launched in January 2020 and is spearheaded
by Wanda Richardson, Thomasville’s Director of Operations, offers local high
school students the opportunity to gain real-life experience in a manufacturing
setting. Interns will gain exposure to various parts of the organization,
including continuous improvement, quality and engineering. The program is a 10
hour per week commitment, with more hours available during the summer break.
On a recent newscast, Fox 8 News in Greensboro, NC featured our new intern program.
Special shout out to our newest team members. We’re excited to have you!
