PHCC CONNECT 2017 ROUND UP!

PHCC CONNECT 2017 ROUND UP!

Jill Shippy

Wednesday morning at PHCC Connect 2017 the atmosphere was exciting and energetic.  There’s a buzz in the air.  We, like everyone around us had just finished setting up in the exhibit hall in preparation of the afternoon visitors.

It is very important to Brasscraft Manufacturing Company that we participate in PHCC Connect.  We take pride in our support of the PHCC community and its members.  But it is also a time when we get to meet face to face with our customers – find out what their pressing needs are; provide more information and samples of our products; show off a bit and have a little fun.

At this year’s event we proudly displayed all of our brands – BrassCraft®, Plumbshop® and Cobra®.  BrassCraft’s SpeediPlumb® flexible one piece water supply (connector and stop all in one) and our Sure2Connect® water stops were featured along with our Plumbshop product lines – stops, water connectors, gas connectors and brass and copper push connect fittings.  On display also was some of our Cobra Pro drain cleaning machines.

Brasscraft Mfg. Co. has supported plumbing apprenticeship programs for many years.  Our Robert Zell Apprentice Scholarship program awarded tuition assistance to 80 students in 2017. From scholarships to products for their labs, to graduation gifts, we are involved in helping to ensure the next generation of plumbers are well prepared to join the plumbing industry.  So sponsoring contestants in the regional and national skills competitions is something we are proud to participate in.  For the last several years we have sponsored contestants in both the Plumbing contest and the HVAC contest.  And seeing them in action is a real kick for us.  Here’s Jaime Moreno-Vega, our sponsored plumbing apprentice hard at work.

And here’s Brandon Blankenship our sponsored HVAC apprentice.

Speaking of local competitions, look who stopped by – Alex Fritz of Deluxe Plumbing.  We sponsored Alex in the NJ/PA PHCC State Plumbing Apprentice Contest.  Alex was the winner there and moved on to the nationals in Milwaukee.

As I said before it is also about having fun. Customers visiting our booth could enter a drawing to win a Taiga® cooler.  Here’s William Diamond of Diamond Plumbing & Heating with two or our regional sales managers Ryan Feuge (L) and Darren Hayes (R) with the cooler he won!

And here’s Larry Shoemaker of Deluxe Plumbing & Heating who also won a cooler.

And here is our very own Darren Hayes, Regional Sales Manager from the Southeast region, modeling one of our t-shirts!

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit. See you next year in Albuquerque!
